Sugarland Gearing Up for ‘Incredible’ Tour

Sugarland are gearing up to hit the road in 2010 on their very first headlining tour. The 2009 CMA and ACM Vocal Duo of the Year have dubbed their trek the Incredible Machine Tour, with the first stop in Primm, Nev., on April 23, followed by stops in 55 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
“This tour is a thrill for me,” lead singer Jennifer Nettles enthuses. “It will reflect our latest writing and surprises to come for the new record, the hits that our fans love, along with the production value that people have come to trust and expect from our live shows.”
Famous for her exuberant style of performing onstage, Jennifer warns with her signature megawatt smile, “Don’t come if you expect to sit on your ass the whole show! You won’t be able to. It’s a whole new rhythmic, emotional, visual, fun, incredible experience machine!”
Sugarland’s latest studio album, ‘Love On the Inside,’ is certified multi-platinum. Their fourth album is due to drop this summer.

Kellie Pickler’s goals for this year clearly do not include much time for relaxation! The singer has a lot planned for 2010, which suits her just fine.
“Taylor [Swift], Gloriana and myself are touring together again this year on the Fearless tour,” she writes in her blog. “After the Fearless tour I am hopping on another tour … which I have not yet been given permission to talk about.”
Kellie does reveal that the act she’ll be hitting the road with has two words, further fueling rumors that she’ll be the opening act on Rascal Flatts‘ American Living Unstoppable tour this year.
Kellie also just returned from spending time overseas entertaining the troops. “I recently just got back from my third USO tour,” she says, this time traveling with good friends Randy Houser and Jamey Johnson. “On this tour I traveled to Kuwait and Iraq,” although she says she didn’t know exactly where they were going until they boarded the plane. In spite of tough traveling conditions, including flying “either in a Chinook or a Black Hawk,” Kellie is already eager to return. “I’m in the middle of planning my next trip to go back!” she exclaims.
And somewhere in the middle of all her travels, the country cutie will record the follow-up to her sophomore album, the self-titled disc which went all the way to No. 1. “I’m anxiously awaiting to get back in the studio and start recording album #3. I’ve been writing. A lot,” she reports.

Taylor Swift Says It’s OK to Watch
Taylor Swift can’t seem to escape the headlines these days. Between her four Grammy awards, her Grammy performance with Stevie Nicks and her upcoming role in the film, Valentine’s Day, almost everything about her life is up for scrutiny, including her romantic life.
And Taylor says she doesn’t mind at all. “I’m never gonna have that moment when I lash out and scream and yell about the fact that people are watching me, because I asked for this life and this career,” she tells Australia’s Herald Sun.
Taylor even says she was fine with people talking about her rumored relationship with ‘Valentine’s Day’ co-star, Taylor Lautner. “I never want to turn into that person who says to whoever I may be seeing or thinking about going on a date with: ‘Let’s not go to dinner in public tonight because that might get written about.’ I don’t want to let the fact that people are watching me change the course of my actions in relationships.”
Even though she didn’t find love with her teenage co-star, she says she is still open to romance down the road, in spite of her crazy schedule. “There’s always time!,” she insists. “I’ll make time for someone if I’m intrigued by them or I want to get to know them. I’m a hopeless romantic. I love the thought that love can happen in an instant and maintain itself and be a success story instead of a failure. I will find time for love if love is worth finding time for.”
One celebrity couple Taylor admires is Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman. “Keith and Nicole have been wonderful to me,” she gushes. “When I was touring with Keith, he would knock on my bus door, come and say hi and see how I was doing, or think of a song for us to play together that night. Both of them have this natural friendliness and a natural kindness that I really love, and Nicole is one of the most beautiful people, inside and out … They are shining lights in my life.”
Taylor is currently in Keith and Nicole’s homeland of Australia, as part of her Fearless tour. She will continue the U.S. leg of her tour in Tampa, Fla., on March 4, with opening acts Kellie Pickler and Gloriana.
LeAnn Rimes Takes Action Against Unruly Fan
LeAnn Rimes turned to police for help on Thursday (Feb. 4), after she was harassed by a homeless fan.
According to aceshowbiz.com, the fan — nicknamed ‘Queen on the Scene’ — got a little too close for comfort as the 27-year-old singer was leaving a doctor’s office in Beverly Hills, Calif. LeAnn was snapped holding her arms up in front of her face while trying to fend off the “superfan,” telling her to “get out of the way.”
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department came to LeAnn’s aid, arresting the woman for “aggressive solicitation,” and forcing her to leave her baby stroller full of possessions on the sidewalk.
According to reports on TMZ, the homeless woman was also wanted for failing to appear in court on three separate occasions. She was taken into custody and booked. The woman earned the nickname, ‘Queen of the Scene,’ after helping stars through the throngs of paparazzi on the streets of Los Angeles. Reportedly, she is often photographed with celebrities.

Nicole Kidman may play many roles – actress, mother, wife – but for husband Keith Urban there’s another that’s equally important: muse.
“It’s been a profound impact [on my songwriting] to meet somebody who offered me a life and helped me become the person I wanted to be,” Urban, 42, tells PEOPLE Country for its March issue.
As Urban tells it, sometimes Kidman’s influence is literal. Take “My Heart Is Open,” a track from his 2009 Defying Gravity album. “My wife and I had been out a couple of times and I wondered how she felt about me,” he says, describing the song’s inspiration. “It came out as, ‘How is your heart?’ She said, ‘It’s open.’ ”
Says Urban, “My God, what a beautiful answer.”
Kidman, also 42, has also helped her husband through dark times, including a stint in Betty Ford Center for his alcohol addiction, and the Aussie singer says that, and the birth of his daughter Sunday Rose in 2008, has opened him up.
“I felt the power of love in all its phases,” he says. “There was an expansion of color and joy.”
As for daughter Sunday, there’s the possibility that she could be just as much of a muse for Urban as her mother. “The next few months will be all about writing,” he says. “I don’t know how she’s going to be a part of that yet.” But, he adds, she’s already given him “a new joy, a new sense of purpose.”

John Mayer is known for dating beautiful women — and clearly doesn’t discriminate on their ages. The 32-year-old rocker, who was previously involved with 40-year-old Jennifer Aniston, is now rumored to be dating Taylor Swift, 20.
“Taylor and John are absolutely more than ‘just friends,’” a source tells Hollywoodlife.com.
“They aren’t ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ or anything as provincial as that, but they have taken their friendship to the next level,” the source adds. Rumors about the pair have been floating around for a few weeks. And the Grammy-winning Swift doesn’t mind.
“I try not to be a complainer, you know?” she told Usmagazine.com about the reports.
Carrie Underwood Plans Stress-Free Wedding

Carrie Underwood’s upcoming marriage to Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher is being given glowing advance reviews by her fellow country singing buddies.
Dierks Bentley, who has toured with Carrie and who also happens to be a big hockey fan, tells PEOPLE magazine why he thinks Carrie and Mike are going to make a great team. “They are really cute together,” Dierks said at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy gala over the weekend. “They seem pretty devoted to each other, and they come from a good background … so I think that’s the key to a good marriage.”
Miranda Lambert — who makes no bones about her love of down-home country life versus city life — thinks Carrie will make a good wife, mainly because she’s grounded. “Carrie is very down to earth and stable,” says Miranda. “She’s a great girl … she really is. I’m happy for her.”
As for the bride-to-be, Carrie says she just wants to enjoy her wedding day and not obsess over the planning. “We have some of the big decisions made,” she tells PEOPLE. “I don’t care about details. I just want to show up and have a good time!”
To ensure that fun trumps stress on her big day, Carrie is leaning on her wedding planner. “Any spare moment is definitely used to talk about wedding stuff,” she tells ETOnline. “We’ve got a great planner, and we e-mail back and forth, and we talk. We’re going to be visiting some places at some point, and figure out where we’re going to have it.”
Last Sunday, Carrie took home a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals for ‘I Told You So,’ with Randy Travis. Next Sunday, she will sing the National Anthem as part of Super Bowl XLIV pre-game festivities at Sun Life Stadium in South Florida. Her performance will be televised live on CBS Sports, prior to kickoff.
