Rascal Flatts – ‘Unstoppable’ (CSI: Remix) Video
Rascal Flatts concerts are always explosive, but this one has an onstage fight and an attempted murder! The superstar country trio guest stars on an episode of the hit CBS show, ‘CSI,’ on Thursday, March 4. The show’s producers have have made a video for the Flatts’ hit, ‘Unstoppable,’ set to the storyline.
Nice hospital gown, Jay!
On the special ‘CSI’ episode – titled ‘Unshockable,’ bassist/piano player Jay DeMarcus survives a big shock. “It’s really not disgusting at all. My intestines, when they were hanging out of my gut, I was really quite comfortable with that,” he jokes with The Boot of filming the somewhat gory scenes. “We had a blast doing that. I don’t want to give too much of the story away, but obviously from the commercial you can tell there’s an attempt on my life, and it happens during one of our live shows, and the story continues from there. We don’t know who’s done it, but it could be one of these guys, it could be my manager!”
The guys tell us they had a great time filming the show, even though they admit they were novices at the whole acting thing. Jokes lead singer Gary LeVox, “It was a great opportunity and fun to touch up on the acting skills that we don’t have!”
Set your DVRs to tape Rascal Flatts on ‘CSI,’ March 4 at 9:00 PM ET on CBS.

Taylor Swift Takes Home Four Grammy Wins

Source: theboot.com
The Grammy Award for Album of the Year — the night’s biggest award — goes to … Taylor Swift! The 20-year-old country sensation trumped Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas and the Dave Matthews Band for the honor, which she takes home for her sophomore album, ‘Fearless.’
“Thank you so much,” Taylor exclaimed, upon becoming the youngest artist ever to win Album of the Year. “I just hope that you know how much this means to me and to Nathan [Chapman], my producer, and all these musicians you see on this stage, that we get to take this back to Nashville. Our families are freaking out in their living rooms! My dad and my little brother are freaking out in the living room. This is for my dad, who always told me I could do anything I wanted … And my mom — you’re my best friend.”
‘Fearless’ was the best-selling album of all genres in 2009, with total sales of more than five million. Among its biggest hits are ‘White Horse,’ ‘Love Story,’ ‘Fifteen’ and ‘You Belong With Me,’ which also was nominated for Song and Record of the Year.
Taylor boasts a total of four Grammy wins Sunday night. Along with Album of the Year, she also won the Grammy for Best Country Album, Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song, for ‘White Horse.’ She was second only to Beyoncé, who took home six trophies.
Stars Tweet Pleas For Haiti Earthquake Relief
Wyclef Jean very quickly put out a plea to seek aid after a 7.0 earthquake devastated his homeland of Haiti. The earthquake struck the impoverished country on Tuesday afternoon, leaving massive destruction in and around the country’s capital of Port-au-Prince.
Since then, other celebrities have taken to Twitter to spread Jean’s message and to get people to donate to Jean’s non-profit Yele Haiti Foundation and other assistance programs.
“Anyone that may be listening’s attention. Call 1884074747 State Dept for Haitian Relief Please help them….. I know I will as much as I can,” Lindsay Lohan tweeted. “Yele Haiti now for the disaster. Please do all that you can.”
Ben Stiller also tweeted his support, writing, “People in Haiti need our help and attention right now.”
Adam Lambert did his part spread the word about UNICEF’s campaign to help. “Please, everyone donate even the smallest of what you can,” he wrote. “We are so fortunate. Let us give where truly needed.”
“Thank you for your donation, of any amount,” actress Olivia Wilde tweeted. “They are all crucial. Our colleagues in Haiti are sending you their love.”
Ryan Leslie urged followers to donate $5 to Jean’s organization by texting “YELE” to 501501 and wrote that the images coming out of Haiti are “heartbreaking.” And Diddy tweeted, “God Bless Haiti!!!! God please!!!”
In more traditional media, former President Bill Clinton, a U.N. special envoy for Haiti, said in a statement: “My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti. My U.N. office and the rest of the U.N. system are monitoring the situation, and we are committed to do whatever we can to assist the people of Haiti in their relief, rebuilding and recovery efforts.”

Kenny Chesney Jealous of Tim McGraw?

Source:theboot.com
Tim McGraw’s new film, ‘The Blind Side,’ starring Sandra Bullock, opened in theaters around the country on Nov. 20. And the big-screen appearance of the country superstar has another star feeling a twinge of envy. Kenny Chesney tells CMT Country Countdown host Lon Helton that even though fans are used to Tim’s onstage persona, it’s easy to get lost in the character he plays.
“I was very proud of him. It definitely shows how diverse he is as an artist, as a talent,” says Kenny, adding that for the most part he was able to separate Tim’s character on the big screen from the guy who’s his close friend in real life. “There was a moment of jealousy, I’ll have to admit, when he was lying in bed with Sandra Bullock. I went, ‘That’s really my buddy Tim McGraw in bed with Sandra Bullock!”
Naturally, the question came up as to whether Kenny himself would be interested in an acting career, what with his self-imposed break from touring in 2010. “I’m just now getting this [concert schedule] to where I want it. I don’t want to go try to do that. Some people are really good at it. I saw the movie, and I was blown away by [Tim's] performance and by the story of the movie. I really was.”
And whether he decides to do any acting or not, Kenny will still find himself on the big screen next spring when his ‘Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D’ is scheduled to be released in April 2010.
Taylor Swift Dominates American Music Awards

The 2009 American Music Awards showed that Taylor Swift’s winning streak is still going strong. The 2009 CMA Entertainer of the Year took home five AMA awards at Sunday’s show, including both Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Favorite Country Female Artist. But perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was her win over Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Eminem and the late Michael Jackson for the night’s top honor — Artist of the Year.
“I just want to say that music has never really been about competition,” an emotional Taylor said, accepting the award via satellite, as her busy tour schedule kept her from the awards ceremony. “And to even be mentioned in the category with Michael Jackson, who will be missed and loved forever … I’m sending my love to the Jackson family and to Janet for reaching out to me the way you have. I love you. Thank you so much.”
Taylor wasn’t the only country artist to take home an AMA. Rascal Flatts won their fifth American Music Award, taking home the trophy for Favorite Country Band, Duo or Group at Sunday’s show. Sharing the category with Sugarland and the Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts have won the American Music Award in this category every year they have been nominated. “You guys have been amazing employers this year,” Gary Levox joked to the audience. “Thank you! Keep employing us!”
Keith Urban, nominated with Darius Rucker and Jason Aldean, took home his first American Music Award for Favorite Country Male Artist. Presented the award by the Zac Brown Band, Keith said, “I love you guys!” Dedicating the award to two special people in his life, he continued, “To my wife, I just love you so much. This is for you and Sunday.”
Winning the T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award, Gloriana took home their first major award since the band formed a little over a year ago. Thanking the fans and country radio, the band also acknowledged the artist they credit with giving them their start: “Miss Taylor Swift. She believed in us took us out on the road before anyone knew who we were,” Gloriana’s Tom Gossin said.
Gloriana joined Lady Gaga, Kid Cudi and Keri Helson in the category, and they acknowledged that they felt the award was a milestone for country music. “We’re going to be representing country — we’re very, very proud of that,” Mike Gossin told The Boot last week. “It’s kind of like an award that’s a b
